Big Events!

I had such a busy week last week that I didn't even have time to post two big events. First is that Wesley started fourth grade! He is so excited and loves his new school so far. I asked how he liked his teacher and he told me that his teacher hadn't been there yet. I asked him why and Wes replied, "He had his independence out or something." I laughed out loud and replied, "Do you mean appendix?" It was so funny so I guess his poor teacher still isn't back yet. Wes is a great student and extremely smart. We are so proud of him! Wesley's mom was so nice to take pictures and email them to me because I couldn't be there to take some. He is so handsome, don't ya think!

The other exciting thing is that Kaleb is finally home! He is adjusting quite well. We all went to the airport to pick him and my parents up and it was so fun to see him after so long. Kadence was the first to run up and hug him. We talked to the kids alot about him so they wouldn't forget him too much. Wes even spoke a little Spanish with him. My brothers little girl Reagan was born just after Kaleb left so he was excited to finally meet her. Kaleb told my Mom that he was so ready to come home but when he was actually released my Dad said that he was quite emotional. He had a successful mission with, I believe, sixteen baptisms which one of them my parents got to witness when they went to pick him up. They said that the Dominican Republic was like no other place on earth. They really had a good time meeting they people that Kaleb influenced so much! I believe that he will be greatly missed by the people he got to know! Kaleb gave an awesome talk and he has grown up so much. I can't believe he is the same kid we sent away two years go. Last weekend was so fun, full of family time and lots of catching up.

Everyone that came to welcome Kaleb

Kaleb and his nieces and nephew (and Trever)

Reagan wasn't so sure she liked him yet!

Grandpa's best girls!

If shoes could talk!

These are some pictures from the airport. I love the one of his shoes. I guess in the Dominican it is so hot that the missionaries don't wear there suits so his suit sat in a closet for two years. So when he went to put it on it was still brand new but obviously his shoes were not. I think it is so funny cause it goes to show all the hours of hard work and walking just right there in his shoes. If they could talk! It was so sad when Kaleb held Reagan. She started crying, but my dad (grandpa) could cheer her up better than anyone. Both Kadence and Reagan were excited to see Grandpa and Grandma come off the plane too.

What a FUN Weekend!!

We had a blast this past weekend! The only bad thing is that we did not have Wes with us he was with his Mom. That is the only thing that could have made it more fun! First we went to dinner Friday night to PF Changs (my fav) We always get mongolian beef so if you have never had it there you need to try it! Kadence loves rice so that is all she ate but for one night I wasn't worried. Saturday we went to the Utah County Fair and the 1st annual demolition Derby. We didn't stay the whole time it was way too crowded. But what we did see was so fun to watch! Sunday was the most fun! After church we went and spent the whole day at Payson Lakes. It was so pretty and there were hardly any people there. Kadence has a blast and we just relax and bbq some yummy food! We took a little floating boat with us and I went out on the lake and almost fell asleep. It was so peaceful and quiet! It is such a beautiful place. I have a bunch of pictures so you have to take a peek! It was just fun to hang out with each other all weekend and have so much to do! Too bad it doesn't happen more often.

KALEB IS COMING HOME!!!!

My little brother Kaleb has been serving a mission in the Dominican Republic and he is coming home next Thursday the 21st!! We are so excited and he says he is ready to come home. My parents are leaving this Friday to go and get him. They are kind of nervous to go somewhere that far away but also so excited to see Kaleb. We were at my Mom's house last night making posters to hang on there fence, it was so fun. Kadence and Reagan also contributed and they made the cutest pictures for him. We had to strip them down for obvious reasons. You can't give a three year old and a two year old paints and leave them dressed! We are going to the airport to get him and we can't wait.

After we were done painting the girls found a bucket with Grandmas tomatoes in it and went to town. Good thing they were already stripped down or that would have been a mess all on its own. They were so funny we had to take pictures!

BEAR LAKE!

Kadence and Reagan

Cody, and then Paige and then Kbear on top

Kadence was actually in time out!

My little fishie!

Paige, Jake, and Me

This past weekend Kadence and I went to Bear Lake and stayed with my Grandparents at there condo. We had a great time. My sister Paige and her boyfriend (probably soon-to-be fiance) Cody were there. My brothers Jake and Trever, Trev's wife, Meg, and their little girl Reagan were there too! I left Justin and Wesley home for some father-son bonding time. We weren't there very long but we got a lot of swimming and relaxing in. Kadence loves to swim and she is so fun to take places. Every thing is an adventure with her. I am so glad we decided to go! It is always fun to visit family and make new memories!

We had so much fun!

Enjoy the Journey!

As I have started this blogging process, I have realized how fast time goes by. I have been graduated 6 years, married for 5, and my kids are so grown up! It makes me sad and I realize that I need to embrace every moment that I have. Enjoy the good and the bad. I hope that all of you will take a moment to slow down and enjoy the journey!

Girls Night Out!

Last monday Kadence went for a girls night out with her cousins. We went to the Primrose Retreat in Spanish Fork and each girl got and pedicure and manicure. I think there favorite part was the dress ups. They got to dress up and walk the cat walk and even sing kareoke. Us older girls even did a little dressing up too. It was so fun. Iwould recommend that to anyone with little girls. By the end of the night Kadence was exhausted! Being a princess is hard work!

I finally did it!

I have been meaning to do a blog for ever now and I finally did it. Just to let everyone know a little about us right now, we are livng in Salem. Wesley is nine and a half and starting fourth grade. He is going to be the new kid in school because he is going to Park Elementary this year instead of Larsen. He is excited to get to know the kids in his neighborhood. Kadence will be four in November and I am sad she is getting so big. We have so much fun together and she is going to preschool this year. I am not ready for that. She also is going to start either dance or gymnastics. If I get my way it will be dance if she gets her way it will be gymnatics. ( she does a pretty good back bend and head stand) Justin and I are great. Justin is really busy with work now and I hardly see him. But better too busy then not at all busy. I am still working at The Retreat doing hair and I love it. Oh yeah and our puppy is HUGE! He is a great dane not even a year yet and his head is above my waist. Life is good and we are enjoying the summer while it lasts!
