Hello! It's been awhile! Just a little update.... I just started my new job as a Brand Manager for Sexy Hair Products with Peerless Beauty Supply. So basically I will be all over the state doing classes and education. I am super excited but that means I wont be in the salon! So sad! Kadence started preschool the first of this month and is doing so well! She will be five soon and I can't even believe it! Full of spice as normal and fun as ever! Wesley started the fifth grade and he is liking it! He loves to hang with his buddies and ride his bike. He is a weblos in the cub scouts and just did his rocket derby. Fun stuff! Justin is doing good and staying busy. He has had a tough year and things are getting better. The economy has been so hard on his industry but we are surviving. Life seems to be good and I hope to be better about my blog.

Why do they have to grow up?
I am just in shock when I see pictures of my baby! I swear it was just yesterday that I was holding her in my arms, but now she takes up my whole lap and more! I wish I could freeze her and she would just stop for a while! She is so independent and determined and I love that in her. One Sunday in primary I was having a terrible time with her until I was in tears! The Bishop's wife found me afterwards and she was so sweet in reminding me that God has a special purpose for her at this time! He sent the strong willed and determined ones now for a reason! I just think about the words she said to me that day and I remind myself that I need to embrace this time and direct her personality in the right way! I love that our children teach us so much and they don't even realize it! I just wanted to share that so we will all stop and think about why our children are here and they are chosen spirits!

Feed and water it everyday!
We did the funnest thing for Wes for Christmas. He had to feed his present from Justin and I for four days! He is always asking if we can get a pet at our house, such as a lizard or a snake and of course I always say no. (Mostly because he is not around everyday and I am not about to touch a lizard or snake to clean the cage. Call me a baby if you want but there is no way!) Anyway this box had two pvc pipes coming out the top and inside he thought he had a really cool, really alive present! Well on Christmas morning he started to open it really slowly and he and Kadence noticed that there were two wrapped gifts on top right inside the flaps. Wes said "let's open these first." The two of them open what was an ipod and skull candy earphones and Wes was so excited! After he said to Kadence "Keep looking in the box." So the two of them went carefully searching through the box and didn't get it! I yelled "got ya!" He still didn't get it for a minute and then he realized he had been feeding an ipod for four days! It was so funny! He had no idea! Christmas was great and we hope that all of yours was full of fun and pleasant surprises!

My FiRsT bLaCk FrIdAy!
Yep, I did it! I finally went early, stood in line and got everything that I wanted! Paige and I went together and I have to admit I was scared I was going to get trampled or punched but my sis held my hand and told me to RUN! It was exhilarating! For those of you that can't believe that I have never gone (because I do like to shop) I can't believe it myself! What fun I have been missing out on! And I almost have all my shopping done after a few hours! YEAH!!!!!

Fun Thanksgiving Tradition!
I just though I would share a fun tradition that my Mother in Law started several years ago! Every year on the night before Thanksgiving we all get together and have what we call Pie Night! Yep and that is exactly all it is! We all bring our favorite pies to share and Joyce supplies the ice cream, cool whip and drinks! I love it because, first of all, it extends the Thanksgiving holiday (which I think gets overlooked anyway) and second, I never am hungry for pie after I stuff myself with turkey and all the fixins! This way we can thoroughly enjoy all the yummy pies! Each year it seems to get bigger and bigger so it must be a great idea! I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving this year and I am so thankful for all of you!
